In Adversity

When adversity and difficulties hits us like a ton of bricks, it could easily cause discouragement. However, God's purpose in the hardship is not to destroy us as His children; His goal is to stimulate  our spiritual growth. In His great wisdom, the Lord knows how to take a situation or circumstance and use it to transfrom us into the image of His dear Son, Jesus. Saints, every adversity that touches our lives has been sifted through God's permissive will. That doesn't mean the difficulty we are going though itself is His perfect will, but He's allowed the trial so He can use it to achieve His good purposes for you and me. While some of the suffering we see and experience may seem to us senseless and awful, we have a very limited perspective and we can't always understand what God is doing.
O how our Heavenly Father sees every aspect of life, but our view is restricted to only what's right in front of us. His plans include not only you and me but also all of His creation, and they reach from the beginning of time to eternity. Though we'll never grasp the infinite mind of God, we can know His faithfulness and love.
Saints when we can't understand God's ways, we need to focus on the truth that He has perfect knowledge, wisdom, and power. Remember, the entire picture is clear to the One who loves us more than we could ever imagine. For this is a time for us to walk by faith and not by sight, as perfect understanding will come only when we get to heaven.
For He will bring us to a glorious end in (Jeremiah 29:11)!
