Running The Race

Sometimes no matter what (whether it be events from a previous day, trouble in life, or even a bad dream), we can know that God is faithful in loving us and He has given to us that unwavering hope. When we sit down with our coffee to read His Word, or whether we stand in praise and prayer, He will satisfy our soul's deepest longings. He gives to us marvelous love, joy, peace, wisdom, and comfort that comes from a loving relationship with the Only true and living God. It's as we begin to get to know God that we will discover that He reaches down to communicate with us right where we are. The more we desire to learn, the more He teaches us. The more we desire His presence, the greater we desire to know Him as the fountain of all goodness. When we desire God in our lives saints, and need answers for tough problems, the wisdom He gives staggers the imagination. When I feel as if my enemies have beaten me down, the strong comfort of His presence reminds me that it's only part of the race and in the end...we win! O how He embraces my heart and I allow Him to renew my mind in truth. One of my favorite experiences in God's presence is when His Holy Spirit invokes praise. This happens when I begin to thank Him for everything I can think of which causes powerful waves of praise to swell up inside me and it overflows. I can rejoice in the fact that I belong to Him! I have been pondering from this (Romans 11:33-36) and I am reminded how amazing our God is who created all things, knows all things, and loves His creation and desires to spend time with us. Time alone with God is always the best time of each day.
